March 21, 1921 – It was announced that a new ten-stall round house was to be built at the Hazard Depot and the passenger station was to be enlarged at the L & N yards.

March 21, 1949 - Dave Rubinoff played his $100,000 Stradivarius violin during a concert at Hazard High School auditorim.  Rubinoff gave several concerts at the White House during the 1940s.
